From light snow to double digits: Toronto could see drastic rise in temperatures this week

By Lucas Casaletto

Fluctuating weather patterns? Welcome to Canada.

A strong fall storm kicked off the month leaving some areas across the GTA facing a clean up, with light snow and chilly temperatures reported on Monday.

The white stuff isn’t going to stick around for long, though.

By Thursday and Friday, the beautiful sunshine will be joined by temperatures more typical of early Sept., with daytime highs reaching the mid to upper teens region-wide.

Though subject to change, as things stand, Toronto is expected to be greeted by double-digit temperatures on Wednesday and they could stick around until early next week.

This all coming after a special weather statement was issued for the GTA late Sunday, ending just before 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Environment Canada says the monthly average of snow in Nov. is about 7.5 cm, which could still be reached by month’s end.

For now, enjoy the warmth.
