Police identify 2 of 3 suspects in beating of man with autism in Mississauga

Police in Mississauga have identified two of the three suspects wanted in the recent assault of a 29-year-old man with autism at a bus terminal in the city.
A video of the attack released by police on March 13 shows the man sitting at the bottom of a stairwell putting on roller blades when three young men approached from behind and began to punch and kick him.
Police said the unidentified victim suffered a broken nose and facial cuts.
Peel regional police say “overwhelming tips from the community” led them to identify 25-year-old Ronjot Singh Dhami of no fixed address. His last known address is in Surrey, B.C.
A lawyer representing Dhami says his client is not guilty of the attack that drew outrage from across the country.
Jag Virk adds Dhami plans to turn himself into police, but he maintains his innocence.
Late Wednesday afternoon, police released the name of a second suspect, Parmvir ‘Parm’ Singh Chahil.
Canada-wide arrest warrants for Dhami and Cahil have been issued on one count of aggravated assault.
The third person allegedly involved in the incident has not yet been positively identified, but police say he might go by the first name of Jason.
Police say all three suspects may still be in the Toronto area and are being encouraged to call a lawyer and turn themselves in.
