Toronto ranked among the best 20 cities in the world

Well, not literally, as Toronto braces for its coolest stretch of the season, but, the City received some high praise recently, finishing among the top 20 best cities in the world, according to Resonance Consultancy’s World Best Cities Report of 2021.

The report highlights some promising avenues for Toronto, citing “economic growth, fueled by immigration and global investment, have Canada’s largest city poised for big things.”

Toronto’s rank of 13th is the highest its ever finished and is the top Canadian city on the list.

The report also cites Toronto’s people and its status of global companies as two of its highlights.

The top five rounds out as follows:

  1. London, England
  2. New York City, United States
  3. Paris, France
  4. Moscow, Russia
  5. Tokyo, Japan

As for other Canadian cities on the list, Vancouver ranked 34th, Montreal (41th), with Calgary (47th), and Ottawa (67th).

Edmonton is also in the top 100 at 76.
