Brampton man, 20, charged after banquet hall stabbing

Peel police have arrested a 20-year-old Brampton man in connection with a stabbing at a banquet hall last week.
In the early hours of Sunday, Dec. 2, police got several 911 calls about a large group of people fighting at the banquet hall near Goreway and Deerhurst drives, near Queen Street East.
A 31-year-old man from Mississauga had life-threatening stab wounds and several others had minor injuries.
On Wednesday, police arrested Arshdeep Mand and charged him with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
He was due to appear in court for a bail hearing at the Brampton courthouse on Thursday.
