Most people change their minds at least three to four times when it comes to choosing a career, but not me. Ever since I was 12-years-old, I’ve known that I wanted to be in the broadcasting business; it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do.

I’ve been a news and sports “junkie” since a very young age and knew that I had to be in this business. I pursued it through school, and then became an intern at our sports station THE FAN590 in the fall of 2004.

After a year at the FAN I moved down the hallway here to 680News, where I was brought on-board as an audio editor in the fall of 2005. Since that time I have had the pleasure of doing a variety of jobs, including being the technical producer of the afternoon drive show, lineup editing and reporting. Amongst other things, I’ve become the video game specialist for the station and was fortunate to cover the launch of Halo 3 live in September 2007, as well as attend numerous other video game events.

When I’m not in the newsroom I can be found running, playing video games, watching or playing some kind of sport, reading a comic book or novel, watching any one of my favorite shows (The Simpsons or The Office are usually a good bet), or doing my favorite thing, which is spending time with my family and friends

Let’s face it; everyone here at 680News knows it’s a privilege and an honour to be working here. To be able to work in an environment where we get to talk sports, politics and current events as a part of our job description is pretty cool. Even though at times things can be stressful and there really is a lot of work to do, I’m not really sure I could call what I do a job since it really is so much fun.
