Pedestrian hit by car in Mississauga

A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle at Hurontario Street and Courtneypark Drive East.

Police said the man was crossing at a marked intersection when he was struck by the vehicle.

The driver remained on scene.

The intersection remains closed for the investigation.

There has been no word on charges.

@Simon Saids: Slowing down is only one part. Learning how to drive properly is another. I am getting really sick of idiots on the road that don’t even know how a 4 way stop works. As my husband says, you only have to pass the driving test once. I don’t know how you fix the idiots with cars on the roads. You know there is a problem when the traffic signs on highways have to tell you to check your mirrors before changing lanes or keep right except to pass. People these days either don’t know the proper rules or ignore them.
