By News Staff

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man police say is wanted in connection with a pair of fires at a Mississauga apartment complex early Sunday morning.

Peel police and firefighters responded to a call on Park Street East in the Lakeshore Road East and Hurontario Street area at around 1 a.m. Sunday.

An investigation has revealed a fire was deliberately set on one of the floors of the building, which was occupied by multiple residents.

A second fire was deliberately set to a car located at the back of the building.

While no one was injured in either fire, the blazes did cause considerable damage to the building and the car.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for 42-year-old Mark Blair of no fixed address. He is wanted two counts of arson, criminal harassment and uttering death threats.

Blair is described as black with a medium complexion and slim build, five-foot-eight with black hair and grey eyes.

Police say he could be driving a grey 2006 Pontiac Montana minivan bearing the license plate CBTP488.

Police add that Blair should be considered dangerous.
