Bullet hits Toronto police car; shooting believed to be random

A bullet hit the windshield of a Toronto police car early Tuesday morning, but police believe the car was not targeted.

It may have been a stray gunshot.

The car was parked near Lake Shore Boulevard West and Thirteenth Street, east of Kipling Avenue. Emergency crews were called around 12:30 a.m.

There was no one in the vehicle at the time and no one was hurt. A building on Thirteenth Street was also damaged.

No suspects have been arrested.
