Man suffers serious injuries at Brampton residence

One man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident in Brampton on Friday morning.

Const. Lori Murphy told 680 NEWS that Peel police received a call from Toronto police around 9:45 a.m. relaying a request from a complainant to check on the well-being of a person.

Peel police attended a residence on Pluto Drive near Kennedy Road North and Bovaird Drive East and found a man inside with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Investigators initially said the man had gunshot wounds but after an examination his injuries were determined to be lacerations.

There are no details on how the man was injured and no word on suspects at this time.

Const. Murphy said forensic identification services are investigating multiple scenes nearby in the area of Pluto Drive and Simmons Boulevard to gather more information.
