Man mowing lawn struck by car in Scarborough

A 24-year-old man is hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while mowing his lawn on Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to the call near Neilson Road and Sheppard Avenue in Scarborough around 1:30 p.m.
A man was mowing his lawn when a vehicle allegedly veered off the road and struck him.
The car continued forward with the victim on the hood, hitting another parked vehicle. The car then rolled back and the victim reportedly fell off.
Police say the victim was transported to hospital via emergency run. A second person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, but It’s unclear how the second patient was involved.
McLevin Avenue was closed between Neilson and Sewells roads for the investigation, but has since reopened.
