Motorcyclist killed in North York crash

A motorcyclist is dead after a collision in North York.

Toronto police say a Jeep and a motorcycle collided in the intersection of Corning Road and Leslie Street, just north of Sheppard Avenue, around 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old man, was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.

Police said the motorcyclist was heading north on Leslie near Corning when the other driver came out of a driveway and hit the motorcycle.

No charges have been laid.

Correction: Police initially said the motorcyclist struck the Jeep.
