Body of missing woman found in Port Credit: family

The body of a missing Mississauga woman has been found in Port Credit, her daughter confirms with CityNews.
Cheryl Mcvarish, 43, was last seen on Monday, March 13 at Lakeshore Road East and Cawthra Road.
At the time, police said they were concerned for her well-being.
On Monday the missing woman’s daughter, Samantha Mcvarish, told CityNews her mom’s body was discovered on Westmount Avenue in Port Credit.
She said a criminal investigation is underway, but couldn’t elaborate.
The homicide unit has been notified, but it’s not yet clear how Mcvarish died.
Area resident Mike Rauth called 911 after spotting the body.
“Walking my dog this morning and I seen a pair of legs in the front of the neighbour’s vehicle,” said Rauth. “I immediately rushed home and called 911.”
“She was a great person,” added former roomate, Deborah. “Always bubbly, smiling … always nice things to say, she would run out of her way to help anybody … she had a good heart, she didn’t deserve this.”
