TTC announces increased service for MLS Cup final at BMO Field

By News Staff

BMO Field will be a sea of red when Toronto FC battles the Seattle Sounders in Saturday’s MLS Cup final.

And there will be even more red, in the form of TTC vehicles, on the streets surrounding the stadium.

Win or lose, the TTC says it will help alleviate the traffic blues by increasing service for fans heading to the big game.

“Routes around the area of BMO Field will have extra service, including the 29 Dufferin, 509 Harbourfront, 63 Ossington and 511 Bathurst, which is running buses in place of streetcars,” the TTC announced in a release.

“Extra service will begin at approximately 5 p.m. and remain in place until after the game ends.”

Take note:

  • The 509 Harbourfront will operate via the Fleet Loop on Fleet Street, west of Bathurst Street
  • The 63 Ossington won’t be able to access Liberty Village due to road closures.
