Three cruisers damaged as police arrest suspected bank robber

At least three police cruisers were damaged as officers attempted to take down a suspected bank robber, who was caught while trying to order a pizza.
Police tell 680 NEWS the incident began around 7:30 p.m. when a young man, wanted for multiple bank hold ups, was spotted by undercover officers while placing an order at a Pizza Pizza in the Queensway and High Park area.
Emergency Task Force officers were called in and, somehow during the process to arrest him, three police cruisers were damaged.
No officers were hurt and there is no information on any damage, if any, to civilian vehicles or property.
The suspect is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It’s uncertain if the SIU will be called in to investigate.
