Streetcar service resumes Sunday between St. Clair and St. Clair West stations

By News staff

The TTC has good news for streetcar riders in Toronto’s west end.

In a tweet, TTC spokesperson Brad Ross said work has been completed ahead of time at St. Clair Station.

This means that streetcars will resume service between St. Clair Station and St. Clair West Station on Sunday.

Since mid-June, streetcars on St. Clair Avenue were replaced by buses. The 6.6-kilotmetre dedicated stretch of streetcar lanes was shut down so that changes could be made to accommodate new streetcars.

The St. Clair and St Clair West stations had to be modified as well.

TTC riders were quick to respond with elation to Ross’ tweet.

“I’ll take ‘TTC tweets we rarely see’ for $1000, Alex,” @joes_world tweeted.
