Man arrested in 2015 Haliburton murder

Ontario provincial police have arrested a man in connection with a 2015 murder in Haliburton.

The body of David Palmer, 47, was found on May 6, 2016.

The Bowmanville man was last seen on Oct. 2, 2015. The brown Honda Accord that Palmer was driving was found 12 days after he disappeared. The car was found near Haliburton on Oct. 14, 2015.

Police said Thursday they are still looking for Palmer’s wallet, Samsung flip phone and a St. Louis Blues baseball hat.

William Savage, of Fenelon Falls, was arrested on Wednesday. He is charged with first-degree murder.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
