Two 16-year-olds among three arrested in connection with 17 robberies

Three people, including two 16-year-olds, face a total of 91 charges in connection with 17 robberies in York Region and Toronto.

Police say from Sept. 16 to Oct. 15, three males were responsible for three robberies in York and 14 in Toronto. The trio would enter the retail store in disguise and at least one of them would make a demand for money at gunpoint.

On Monday, police arrested two Toronto teens and charged them with numerous counts of robbery, robbery with a firearm and disguise with intent.

The identity of the two boys is protected under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

On Wednesday, police also arrested 30-year-old Robert Scott Watson of Toronto and charged him with robbery, robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent as well as failing to comply with probation and possession of property obtained by crime.
