By The Canadian Press

A fatal shooting in northwest Toronto was targeted, police say.

They say a vehicle pulled up beside the victim’s car on Tuesday afternoon and an occupant of the vehicle fired multiple shots.

It happened near Albion Road and Silverstone Drive, east of Highway 27, shortly before 6 p.m.

Two men were taken to hospital suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Christian Saarah, 28, of Toronto died of his injuries.

Saarah’s 24-year-old brother remains in hospital in serious condition.

Police say there was an “interaction” between the brothers and the suspects prior to the shooting, but they don’t know the specifics.

Investigators are appealing for assistance from anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting.

Initially, it was reported that a man and a woman were shot.

Police said Wednesday morning that it was two men who were shot. The passenger died, while the driver remains in hospital.
