Cat rescued from fire Mississauga apartment fire

A fire at a Mississauga apartment building was quickly knocked down on Monday morning.

The fire began in the living room of a third-floor apartment on Glen Erin Drive near Battlefield Road around 4:55 a.m.

Flames could be seen on the balcony.

The woman who lives in the had made it out before firefighters arrived, fire officials told CityNews, and a cat was rescued from the apartment.

The smoke detectors were working.

It’s not yet known how the fire began, or the cost of the damage.
