Woman struck in Brampton, rushed to hospital

A woman is in hospital after she was hit by a vehicle in Brampton on Monday morning.
Emergency crews were called to Chinguacousy Road between Daviselm Drive and Queen Street around 6:05 a.m.
The pedestrian, believed to be in her early 20s, was taken to hospital with a head injury. The head injury is serious and possibly critical.
The southbound lanes of Chinguacousy were closed for the investigation and have since reopened.
