One in custody after Broadview and Danforth stabbing

One person is in custody after a stabbing near Broadview and Danforth avenues.

Toronto police said officers in the area were flagged down around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Paramedics took the victim, a man in his 20s, to hospital with a serious stab wound. As of Tuesday morning, his injuries were serious but not life-threatening, police said.

Police said one person was arrested shortly after officers arrived on scene. The second suspect was arrested after a short search. One of them was later released.

It’s not yet known what led to the stabbing.

The investigation is ongoing.
