Three people dead after Hwy. 407 collision in Brampton

Three people are dead after a collision in Brampton on Sunday.

Officers, paramedics and fire crews arrived on scene just after 3 p.m. on Highway 407 westbound, past Mississauga Road.

OPP Sgt. Vince Idzenga said a 1948 Chevy was travelling westbound on Highway 407 when it experienced a mechanical issue with the right rear tire, lost control and spun into another lane.

“The vehicle was impacted by a coach bus traveling westbound,” said Idzenga.

Two male adults were extracted from the vehicle by two citizen but a third person could not be removed.

No one was injured on the coach bus.

Police have not release the names of the victims.

The westbound on-ramp at Mississauga Road will be closed as the investigation is ongoing.
