Woman rescued after falling down 70-foot embankment near Bronte Creek

Emergency crews pulled a woman to safety after she fell down a 70-foot embankment in Oakville on Friday.

It happened near Bronte Road just south of the QEW around 3:30 a.m.

A woman, believed to be in her 30s or 40s, had wandered away from her group home and toward Bronte Creek.

The rescue took about an hour.

The woman was taken to a local hospital to be examined, but it’s expected she will be fine.
