Homicide squad takes over investigation of missing Markham woman

York Regional Police say their homicide unit has taken over the investigation into the disappearance of a 36-year-old Markham, Ont., woman.
Ying Chun Li, also known as Annie, was last seen by her family on June 12 in Markham and may have been seen later that day in the Richmond Hill, Ont., area.
Const. Laura Nicolle says Li has not been in touch with her family, and has not returned home.
Nicolle says Li’s disappearance is now considered suspicious.
Police say they’re seeking assistance in identifying a possible witness who may have information that can help in the investigation.
