Body of Toronto woman found in Whitby creek

The Ontario Provincial Police have launched an investigation after a woman’s body was discovered in a creek near Highway 401 and Thickson Road in Whitby.
The body was found on May 12 and initially, the woman’s identity was not known.
On May 17, police identified her as Nadiya Salim, 22.
Salim had been reported missing by Toronto police on September 2, 2015. Toronto police issued another appeal for help in January of 2016.
