Two injured in apartment fire in Weston and Finch area

Two people have been injured following a fire at a highrise apartment building at Lanyard and Weston roads, just south of Finch Avenue.
Police received a call just before 2 p.m. that smoke was seen coming from the west side of the building.
They say the fire was between the 7th and 10th floors, and residents were evacuated from the building.
One woman was treated for smoke inhalation and one adult man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries including burns to his head and chest.
Police have blocked Weston Road to prevent access to Lanyard.
