MONTREAL – Bombardier announced a major deal Thursday to sell its CSeries passenger planes to Delta Air Lines.

Here’s a By-The-Numbers look at Bombardier:

$8.8 billion: The amount of loans that Export Development Canada has given to customers of Bombardier over the last five years to buy the company’s planes and trains.

$467 million: The amount of loans that Ottawa and Quebec has given to Bombardier for the CSeries aircraft.

US$1 billion: Quebec’s investment in Bombardier announced last October. The province has yet to give the company the money.

64,000: The approximate number of workers Bombardier will employ once a round of job cuts announced earlier this year is implemented.

125: The maximum number of CSeries 100 jets that Delta Air Lines could buy from Bombardier under the deal announced Thursday.

0: The number of CSeries jets that have been delivered since 2009, when airlines began ordering them. The first CSeries plane is scheduled to be delivered in June to Swiss International Air Lines, which is planning the first commercial flight of the aircraft on July 15.
