Its origins date back to Africa, and then to the streets of Harlem in New York City, where hip-hop pioneers first coined the term Beat-boxing. And now there’s a new Canadian with mad skills turning heads across the globe.

Reverberating into the microphone, an ear-enticing drum machine. From the mouth of one of the most unsuspecting beat-box prodigies you’ll likely ever see – or hear!

Emilie, a runner-up at the world beat-box championship, is the first ever female to battle at the Canadian National Championships. She finished fourth in a competition featuring 15 of the best MEN in the country.
