By News Staff

York regional police have released photos and video of a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a Vaughan gym.

Police say the man was in the gym, near Keele Street and Highway 7, around 4 p.m. on Monday.

He became agitated and started verbal altercations with other patrons and staff members. During one of the altercations, the man touched the buttocks of one of the female employees.

In another one of the altercations, the man threw an espresso on the floor and caused a “significant disturbance,” police say.

When employees asked the man to leave the gym, he allegedly said he had a gun and that he was going to kill them and their families. No gun was seen.

He then left, walking north on Keele.

Police were called but were unable to find the suspect.

Marcus Johnson, 26, is wanted for sexual assault and two counts of uttering threats. Police say he should contact a lawyer and surrender.
