Toronto police found 14 dogs, one cat, and two people as they raided an Etobicoke home late on Sunday night.
Animal Services has been called in to deal with the pets, and the three people are in custody.
Emergency crews were initially called to the home, in the Rathburn Road and Kipling Avenue area, around 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Paramedics then called in police, who say they saw drugs at the home. Officers called the drug squad, who raided the home several hours later.
That’s when the pets were seized and two people were arrested.
It’s not yet known if any drugs were found or if the two people are facing any charges.
Correction: Police initially said three people were taken into custody. Only two people are facing charges.
