Girl, 13, arrested for attempted murder after teenage girl stabbed on Christmas Day

A 13-year-old girl has been arrested for attempted murder after a teenage girl was stabbed near Flemingdon Park on Friday evening.
Police said the accused is facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, weapon dangerous, carrying a concealed weapon and assault.
The suspect cannot be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
A woman was walking nearby on Friday evening when she heard screaming and saw the victim bleeding heavily.
Paramedics said the girl had suffered one stab wound and was in serious but stable condition on Friday night.
The 13-year-old girl appeared in court on Monday morning. Her lawyer said the girl is scared and shaken.
The also claims that police told his client that the victim died. The victim is alive, in critical condition with a stab wound to the leg in a vital artery.
