Want to sleep at the ACC? Doug Gilmour can make it happen

Have you ever dreamed about sleeping overnight at the Air Canada Centre? If so, you have odd dreams – but they could come true.

Airbnb is teaming up with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment for a contest where one lucky fan can win the “ultimate sports weekend.”

Fans have until Dec. 15 to enter the contest, which is open to Greater Toronto Area residents. Former NHL star Doug Gilmour will host.

“You can go behind the scenes, you’ll be in the penalty box for warm-up, you’re behind the scenes with Mike Babcock, it’s a fun day, ” Gilmour told Breakfast Television on Tuesday.

“You’ll be with me throughout the day, you’ll have a [Leafs] game, and there’s a Raptors game the next day,” he said.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will take on the Montreal Canadiens on Jan. 23, 2016. The next day, the Toronto Raptors play the Los Angeles Clippers. The prize also includes a shopping spree.

Just be sure to follow the house rules:

  • No placing loonies under centre ice.
  • Anyone caught cheering for the Habs will answer to Carlton.
  • Sorry, no pets (Raptors are allowed).
  • Anyone who brings up the fact that Gilmour played for the Canadiens will be escorted off the premises.
  • In need of a lint roller? Please let us know, we know a guy.
  • Your homework prior to arriving is to memorize the lyrics to The Good Ol’ Hockey Game.
  • No skates on the hardwood.
  • Help yourself to anything in the fridge, but please don’t touch the pucks in the freezer.
  • “We The North” must be chanted 5 times before going to bed and immediately upon waking up. Maximum volume is expected and encouraged.
