Suspect sought in Mississauga, Toronto ‘smash and grab’ robberies

Peel police are searching for a suspect responsible for a number of ‘smash and grab’ robberies in Mississauga and Toronto.

At least seven stores on Lakeshore Road and Lake Shore Boulevard were robbed around 2 a.m. on Monday.

The locations include Burger’s Priest at Lakeshore and Hurontario Street in Port Credit, and Joan’s Blooming Place on Lake Shore near Browns Line in south Etobicoke.

A man, believed to driving a GMC cargo van, allegedly smashed the glass in the doors of the businesses, rushed in, grabbed the cash register, and then ran out.

Police have surveillance video that shows him going into some businesses.
