Police investigating sex assault of 8-year-old girl in Thorncliffe Park

Toronto police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl in the Thorncliffe Park area while she was shopping with her parents.
According to police, the incident occurred at about 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 5.
At that time, an unknown man approached the girl from behind, sexually assaulted her and fled in an unknown direction.
The man is described as a brown-skinned male between 50 and 60 years old with a moustache. He was wearing a black hat, a black-buttoned blazer and blue jeans.
