Motorcyclist dies after crash on Lake Shore

A motorcyclist has died after a single-vehicle crash on Lake Shore Boulevard on Sunday morning.

Police said a 55-year-old man was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson and lost control of the motorcycle around 10:33 a.m. The motorcycle hit the centre median and entered the westbound lanes of Lake Shore Boulevard west.

Paramedics took the man to hospital in life-threatening condition after he was ejected from his motorcycle sometime before 11 a.m.

Police later confirmed that the man had succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Lake Shore Boulevard was closed westbound at Jameson Avenue, and eastbound at Parkside Drive.

The investigation is continuing by Traffic Services.
