Blue Jays’ David Price searches for young fan in makeshift jersey

By

Toronto has been a buzz since Thursday when the news broke that ace pitcher David Price had been traded to the Toronto Blue Jays from the Detroit Tigers.

And Twitter has been even more starry eyed about the 29-year-old pitcher coming to the city.

Even though Price won’t officially start playing until Monday, his Twitter game has been impeccable.

He even tried to find the young fan that made the makeshift jersey by taping “Price” and the number 14 on the back of an existing jersey.

Within minutes, and thousands of retweets, the kid’s mother was found.

Jake’s mom told CityNews on Twitter that the jersey was being sent to them by Monday.

Not only did Price send one jersey, but two.

Now, he did have his trouble getting to the city on Friday but all he asked for was some popcorn.

And the Jays delivered.
