Weekend road & TTC closures in Toronto: June 19-22

It’s another weekend in Toronto, which means more road closures due to events and TTC shutdowns for track and station work.

If you’re planning to drive around town this weekend, or hop on the subway, consult this list below.

Events

Taste of Little Italy
College Street is closed from Bathurst to Shaw streets from Friday at 6:30 p.m. to Monday at 2 a.m.

The following road will be closed from Friday at 6:30 p.m. to Monday at 3 p.m.:

  • College Street, from Bathurst Street to Shaw Street
  • Grace Street, from Harbord Street to College Street
  • Manning Avenue, from Ulster Street to College Street

 

The following roads will also be closed, just north of College Street, from Friday at 3 p.m. to Monday at 3 a.m.:

  • Palmerston Avenue
  • Clinton Avenue
  • Montrose Avenue

 

TTC will not be in operation within these boundaries during the closures.

Church Street Summer Festival
Church Street, from Wood to Gloucester streets, will be closed from 6 p.m. on Friday to 2 a.m. on Monday.

North by Northeast Music Festival
Yonge Street from Dundas to Queen streets will be closed each night from 7 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Fairbank Village BIA Multicultural Celebration
Eglinton Avenue, from Dufferin Street to Ronald Avenue, will be closed from Saturday at 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday. Several smaller streets in this area will also be partially closed.

Port Union Village Waterfront Festival
Port Union Road will be closed in both directions from south of Shoalhaven Drive to Bridgend Street on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bridgend will be closed in both directions from Port Union to the eastern part of Vessel Crescent.

Toronto Triathlon Festival
The eastbound Gardiner Expressway from the Humber River to Carlaw Avenue will be closed on Sunday from 2 a.m. to noon.

The northbound Don Valley Parkway from the Gardiner to Eglinton Avenue will be closed on Sunday from 2 a.m. to noon.

One eastbound lane of Lake Shore Boulevard from Windermere Avenue to Strachan Avenue/Remembrance Drive will be closed from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Journey to Conquer Cancer Run/Walk 5K
Road closures will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday in the area bounded by McCaul, Bloor, Bay and Gerrard streets.

Muchmusic Video Awards
Road closures will be in effect in the area bounded by Richmond, Queen, Simcoe and Peter streets from Sunday at 4 p.m. to Monday at 3 a.m.

TTC closures

Subways won’t be running on Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) between St George and Pape stations from 11 p.m. on Saturday to noon on Sunday for track and beam work on the Bloor Viaduct. Shuttle buses will run instead.

Also on Saturday, there won’t be any service on Line 3 (Scarborough) as the TTC replaces almost 700 metres of track, installs new communication cables and tests power supplies.

Replacement buses will operate between McCowan and Kennedy stations, and collector booths will be open for fare purchase. Regular service will resume at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
