Man sentenced to 6 months in jail for threatening TTC worker, robbery

A man has been sentenced to six months in jail for threatening a TTC operator as well as robbing a woman of money in a separate incident.
Wayne McLaren, 48, pleaded guilty to threatening a TTC bus operator with death over a fare dispute on Dec. 10, as well as robbing a woman in a separate incident.
McLaren was also sentenced to two years probation.
The TTC says that, on average, one of their employees is assaulted every day, ranging from punching, slapping and spitting, to threats of physical harm or death.
