The Yes Men can’t say no to yet more political pranks in latest documentary

By The Associated Press

BERLIN – Watch out, the Yes Men are coming.

Wearing suits bought in a Salvation Army store and wielding little more than a fake press release, this prankster duo are out to shake up the debate on climate change, Arctic drilling and corporate greed.

It’s a mission they’ve been on since 1999, when Americans Igor Vamos and Jacques Servin began to earnestly pursue their second careers as political con-artists.

A third documentary about their stunts, called “The Yes Men are Revolting,” airs at the Berlin Film Festival this week.

In it, polar bears become vehicles for satire, arms dealers embrace renewable energy and both protagonists question whether their work is really making any difference.

Despite setbacks the Yes Men keep going, determined to do their bit to avert Armageddon, or at least have fun trying.
