Pedestrian in critial condition after Scarborough hit-and-run

A pedestrian has been rushed to a local trauma centre in critical condition after a hit-and-run in Scarborough.

Emergency crews were called to the Finch and Midland avenues area just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Paramedics said the 35-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries.

Police said the vehicle was located and the driver was placed in custody. A second person of interest was also located.

“Originally this was a fail to remain investigation however we now have two people of interest that we are speaking to,” Const. Clint Stibbe said.

 

 

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
