2 dead in early morning collision in Haldimand County

Two men died in a collision on Highway 6 just south of Caledonia near 5th Line on Monday morning.
A tractor-trailer was heading southbound on the highway when it struck a pickup truck that was heading eastbound on 5th Line just after 2 a.m.
The two men inside the pickup truck were pronounced dead at the scene.
The third occupant was taken to hospital, but the extent of his injuries are not known.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
It’s not yet known what caused the collision.
Highway 6 south of Caledonia remains closed as the OPP investigate.
