Boy falls 9 metres down embankment by Humber River

Toronto fire officials are trying to rescue a boy after he fell nine metres down an embankment by the Humber River in Etobicoke.

Toronto Fire was called to Scarlett Road in Etobicoke shortly before 1:30 p.m. after an 11-year-old boy climbed a fence to get a ball. He then tumbled down the embankment before coming to a stop on a rock.

He did not fall into the water.

Fire officials are pulling him up using a rope and say he is unhurt.
