2 dead after tornadoes rip through Nebraska

Very rare twin tornadoes touched down within a couple kilometres of each other in Nebraska on Monday afternoon killing at least two people, including a five-year-old child.

More than a dozen people were also injured, many of them in critical condition.

The storm hit the town of Pilger, severely damaging half of the town’s buildings.

A state of emergency has been declared and the U.S. National Guard is preparing to help with the massive cleanup.
