Two men and one woman are facing 19 charges after allegedly forcing a 17-year-old girl into a life of prostitution.

It’s alleged that the teen was assaulted, threatened and forced into becoming a prostitute in Mississauga and Scarborough.

Police say the accused took the victim’s phone, money and personal belongings, and kept the girl against her will in hotel rooms.

Michael Campbell, 30, Timothy Hewton, 23, and Serena Timbury Welcome, 20, all from Toronto, were arrested Thursday.

Charges against the accused include procuring a person to become a prostitute, human trafficking, forcible confinement and extortion.
