In what police are calling a “brazen attack,” an SUV chased a car several city blocks, firing bullets along the way and eventually killing 25-year-old Shmar Parris. The chase ended when Parris’ car smashed into a pole at Carlton and Parliament streets.
Neighbours tell CityNews’ Tammie Sutherland that Parris was the father of a young son.
Police are looking for an SUV with damage on its right side that was seen driving erratically on the Gardiner Expressway.
