Charges laid after north Ontario crash captured on dashcam

Ontario Provincial Police have laid an additional charge after a crash in northern Ontario earlier this month.
The OPP alleges one of the drivers was using a hand-held device while behind the wheel.
Police say that two vehicles collided at the west intersection of Highway 17 and 17a, west of Kenora, on March 1.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m., when an eastbound vehicle struck a northbound pickup truck that had allegedly failed to stop for the stop sign.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was treated for minor injuries, and both the driver and the passenger in the eastbound vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Christopher Lord, 36, from La Broquerie, Man., the driver of the northbound vehicle, was charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.
On Thursday, Lord was also charged with driving while using a hand-held communication device.
