Driver airlifted to Sunnybrook after Oshawa crash

A driver has been airlifted to Sunnybrook hospital following a crash in Oshawa early Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred between a transport truck and a vehicle at Simcoe Street South and Wentworth Street East shortly after 12:30 p.m., Durham regional police said.
Police posted on Twitter that the vehicle driver’s injuries were serious.
The roads were expected to be closed for at least three hours for the police investigation.
