TORONTO – A 33-year-old woman is dead after being ejected from a vehicle involved in a two-vehicle crash in Scarborough Sunday.
The collision took place shortly before 10:30 a.m. near the Eglinton Avenue East and Danforth Avenue area.
Toronto police say an Infiniti G37s travelling westbound on Eglinton Avenue East attempted to go around a TTC bus stopped at Oswego Road, when it lost control, crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck an eastbound Honda Civic.
The woman — who was a rear passenger in the Infiniti — was ejected and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. She succumbed to her injuries later Sunday.
Four others were taken to hospital with minor to moderate injuries, police say.
