‘Crack’ video made in February, Star cites police report

TORONTO – The video allegedly showing Toronto Mayor Rob Ford smoking from a crack pipe was made in February, the Toronto Star reports, citing a police document.

According to the newspaper, the document said Ford was recorded “consuming what appears to be a narcotic” while in the company of several people last February.

That contradicts the mayor’s claims he hasn’t used illegal drugs in a year.

When asked about it by Stephen LeDrew on CP24, Ford went to his go to line: “Let’s see this video once and for all.”

Ford also said two years ago he didn’t even know his former driver Alessandro (Sandro Lisi), but when asked about their friendship since then he insisted he was addressing the topic.

“I’m not getting into that relationship because again, he’s before the courts, and that’s the bottom-line,” Ford said.

Ford wrote a reference letter for his former driver, and in it, he thanked him for work he did during his 2010 mayoral campaign, adding he has known him for several years.

During the interview, Ford also said he hasn’t had a drink in three weeks and guaranteed he’s quit drinking for good.
