‘Operation Christmas Child’ fundraiser launches Monday

With just over a month until Christmas Day, a major fundraiser for children got underway on Monday.
Samaritan Purse’s Operation Christmas Child campaign, which runs until Nov. 24, helps children around the world.
Donors are encouraged to pack a shoe box with school supplies, toys and hygiene products and drop it off a shoebox collection centre.

In 2012, over 660,000 shoe boxes were donated by Canadians and distributed to needy children in more than 100 countries.
